Since launching our co-ownership model in 2021 we’ve now welcomed over 50 Owner-Residents into their Key homes. The past year has marked significant change and progress and we’re excited to share 4 new updates from Key.

We’ve launched the Key app

Leveraging technology is one way we’re using innovation to make homeownership work for our Owner-Residents.

Earlier this year we launched the Key app. Through the app Owner-Residents have access to their own personal dashboard which displays their suite information including their co-ownership interest, equity details and monthly payment details.

The best part? Through the dashboard Owner-Residents can easily add to their home equity.

Key’s app also delivers strong benefits to the Property Owners in our two-sided marketplace. Our app simplifies the process of managing tenant background and credit checks, monthly payments, property management, and more all in one place. Some of the other benefits Key provides to property owners include higher quality tenants who think like owners and share in repair + maintenance costs, reduced vacancy and operating costs. 

We celebrated the one-year anniversary of our first Owner-Residents

This summer marked a very special milestone at Key, as many of our first Owner-Residents celebrated one-year of co-owning their Key suite. 

From moving in our very first Owner-Resident in early 2021, to growing a community of now over 50 Owner-Residents who have been able to enjoy the financial and social benefits of ownership, we are proud to have enabled more Canadians to start owning many years sooner.

We’ve added new Toronto Inventory

After selling our first round of suites in record time, and then growing our portfolio to include suites in seven buildings across Toronto, we’re excited to share that we’ve recently added a new suite at Ivory on Adelaide, in Toronto's east end.

Suite 614 is a light-filled one bedroom suite in the east end of downtown Toronto. With tons of storage space (hello, walk-in closet!), a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a spacious balcony, you’ll love being within walking distance of the St. Lawrence Market and King St. You can view suite 614 here.

We’ve entered into two new markets

Another exciting update from Key? We’ve now entered into two new Canadian markets, and have expanded our co-ownership offering to Kitchener-Waterloo and Edmonton. 

Our new Kitchener suites offer a range of one bedroom up to two bedroom suites and reside at Garment st. condos in the heart of Kitchener’s Innovation district. Each suite features stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, a private balcony and world class amenities.

Known as one of the world's best innovation regions, the Innovation district in downtown Kitchener is home to countless tech companies (including google!) and the region's first multi-modal transit hub. If you’re interested in co-owning your home in Edmonton, we have a lovely selection of two-bedroom suites in both Edmonton and Saint Albert, just outside the city. Our Edmonton suites reside at Alture Just off University, a charming low rise building in the University district that puts you just a short walk away from the cities best parks, cafes and more.
